Quarter 8

Quarter 8 will be developed as a comprehensive city quarter in the heart of Lillestrøm. With direct appeal to Torvet and Storgata, the project will constitute a central piece in the city center of the future. At the intersection of Torvgata and Storgata, a square will be established that opens Torvet in Lillestrøm towards Gågata.

The goal of the project is to facilitate sustainable and realistic urban development in line with the municipality's goals of creating a vibrant and attractive city center. In accordance with the municipal plan, a volume and function analysis has been made, which is part of the preparation of the plan proposal.

The concept provides space for a living city floor with various programs such as shops, restaurants, hotels, homes, and offices. The expansion of the square and the pedestrian street creates increased interaction between Torvet and Storgata. The city floor will invite increased activity all year round. Trade, catering, office, cafes, etc. will help create an urban oasis for the benefit of all who live and shop in Lillestrøm center.
