Destination Lauvvik
Meeting places en route
LINK Arkitektur produced a feasibility study for Lauvvik as a tourist destination, with buildings in the Nordic style. With its central location, Lauvvik has the potential to become an important part of Norwegian tourist logistics.
In the feasibility study, LINK Arkitektur proposes various activities and programmes aimed at tourists, as well as excursion destinations for people in the local area, such as a spa hotel, restaurant, cabins, mobile home parking and marina. Facilities for activities such as paddling, swimming, sailing and an amphitheatre for cultural experiences, such as historical games from the Viking Age, will also be available.
The site can be made to work as a ‘waiting room’ for tourists en route to Kjerag Mountain and Pulpit Rock. Our goal was also to create an attractive destination in itself, with a low climate footprint, a goal that serves as a base for tourists wishing to visit other exciting places nearby, such as Månafossen Waterfall, Flørli Stairs, Uburen Mountain and Fossjuvet Waterfall.
