Hardangerbadet

Great emphasis has been placed on the visual design of the water park together with the upgraded hotel to get a holistic architectural expression. The project adapts to its surroundings and takes elements from western Norwegian building traditions in the form of selected materials and design language. At the same time, it maintains a modern expression and is a welcome meeting place for the population.

Hardangerbadet offers a competition pool, a family pool, and a therapy pool, as well as health and treatment facilities. The hierarchy of materials in the interior of Hardangerbadet is upside down. Slate is at the bottom, aluminum in a diagonal grid pattern covers the swimming facility,  and wood covers the top floor.

The project is an important contribution to making the village more attractive to residents and visitors. It also contributes to increased activity in the street scene throughout the year.
