Brf Kilen
Attractive senior housing with an urban character
The senior housing within Brf Kilen is located in Kävlinge, Skåne. The fifty-three homes are distributed among four buildings – one larger building with four floors and three smaller buildings with two to three floors. The development densifies the area and creates a more urban environment, with new houses adapted to the scale of the surrounding buildings. The project is certified according to the BREEAM Building.
Bonum is Riksbyggen's concept for senior housing and is aimed at households where at least one person has turned 55 years old.
Between the different buildings is a raised courtyard with a pergola, seating, a boules court and a small gazebo. In addition to these social meeting places, residents also have access to an overnight apartment for guests and a community room. Everything from cooking groups to book clubs and darts clubs is arranged here. Creating conditions for social sustainability is one of the most important aspects when designing senior housing.
