A hub for ground-breaking research in mitochondrial biology
Pretzel Therapeutics develops medicines to treat conditions ranging from genetic disorders to obesity and age-related ailments. Ahead of their move to GoCo Health Innovation City—a cluster dedicated to health, medical development, and digital health services—we were commissioned to design environments that support their work.
The goal was to design a highly functional, tailored laboratory environment that enables Pretzel’s vital preclinical research. Working closely with the tenant and property owner, we optimised the layout to meet the company’s specific needs, including general laboratories and chemistry and cell labs equipped with advanced technology such as incubators, autoclaves, and cold storage. We also ensured compliance with legal, quality, hygiene, and technical requirements regarding the premises, furnishings, and equipment by providing advisory services and active support throughout the construction and procurement processes.
We developed a new floor plan, interior design proposals, and a visual concept, including "plug-and-play" solutions for laboratory furnishings. Furthermore, we produced design documentation covering the layout, installations, and utility supplies (media, electricity, and data) and reviewed contracts and consultant documentation.
In this way, Pretzel Therapeutics has gained attractive facilities that pave the way for both research and improved quality of life worldwide.
