The city's new landmark

The Noden will become Skövde Science City’s landmark and knowledge hub, fostering inspiration, collaboration, and creativity. This vibrant environment will strengthen both Science Park Skövde’s companies and the wider community. Its distinct identity is designed to attract both new and established businesses. Adjacent to the office building, a parking garage is being constructed to create a unified architectural impression.

The building’s clean, well-proportioned facade features carefully arranged windows to optimize natural light from all directions. Perforated golden metal panels create intricate patterns and illuminate the building at night, giving it a striking evening presence.

Noden has been a remarkable project, involving both building and interior architects from the initial needs analysis to the finalised building permit. The result is a resilient structure, designed to adapt to changing tenants and market conditions, achieved through quality materials, thoughtful floor plans, and flexible systems.

A welcoming entrance and vibrant ground floor invite both tenants and visitors, contributing to the city’s ongoing development. Thoughtful design ensures a seamless connection between exterior and interior, evident in the building’s structure, material choices, and detailing. Inside, exposed wood and concrete create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The central light garden, the heart of the building, accommodates up to 150 people with tiered seating, offering versatile spaces for events. Daily, Ljusgården brings together students, researchers, entrepreneurs, developers, and creators in a dynamic setting.

Equipped for the present and the future

Long-term planning is central to Noden’s design. The building is designed to adapt to evolving operations, enabling tenants to tailor spaces to their needs. Certified to the Miljöbyggnad Silver standard, every stage of development is guided by rigorous sustainability criteria. Resource consumption is minimised, and energy-efficient technologies, including solar panels and battery storage, are integrated. Pillar-free offices and a streamlined exposed frame further reduce material usage.

Flexibility, quality, and aesthetics further enhance Noden’s sustainability. By allowing tenants to expand or downsize within the same building, Noden remains adaptable and enduring. Exceptional attention has been given to architectural and interior solutions, as well as material selection. High floor-to-ceiling windows flood the spaces with natural light, creating a bright and appealing environment.

The building is scheduled for completion in 2027.
