The award-winning round shape
The starting point for the design of the head shower VOLA 060 is its round shape. The essential DNA in all VOLA product design is the circle and the cylinder, and how these two geometries interact.
In the design of the shower plate itself, it was important to set the nozzles back from the surface so that they were recessed into the shape. This allows VOLA’s key principle of working inside the shape to be retained. The pattern of the water is an important parameter in the entire design.
At the connection between wall and shower, the horizontal pipe is the bearing element while the shower head is supported. Here, there is a strong emphasis on balancing the proportions between the two elements. For VOLA 060, as for other VOLA products, simplicity and Nordic style are dominant in both design and function. The shower thus acts as an intensely focal element in any room.
VOLA’s head shower 060 has won several awards. The product received the prestigious German Design Award, and the American GOOD DESIGN Award from the Chicago Athenaeum. It was also selected to compete against 700 other design products from 38 countries, and VOLA’s product won in the category “Bath and accessories”.
