KF school

"School of the Year 2022"

The KF school in Stavanger is based on a traditional form with a classic gable roof, where an asymmetrical cut and varied use of materials give a modern look. The school won Nohrcon's award for "Årets skolebygg" (School Building of the Year) 2022.

The Christian school KF in Stavanger has received a new school building for grades 1.–10. Standing maintenance-free panel is used on external surfaces, combined with metal cladding.

On panels in glass and aluminium, there are elements of colour. The assembly room is located between two pavilions to the north, a four-story-high "heart" in the school. The room is the centre of communication lines along and across the building. It visually connects the school's main entrance with the schoolyard, and functionally with a rational layout.

The assembly room also forms a vertical connection to all floors with stairs and a lift. The room also contains multifunctional amphi steps.
