The Swedish Scchool of Sport and Health Sciences
Increased local demand, creating an enhanced study environment and bringing together cross-disciplinary and multi-science research environments were all prime considerations in the renovation and expansion of GIH.
The project included everything from preliminary studies to final planning of the interiors and laboratories. The configuration of the building pays meticulous attention to detail, and the idea has been to allow the interiors to be the colour-bearing element in the environment.
The rooms have a light and timeless feel that includes a great deal of white, but the accent colours that can be found around the school, create animation and movement. The changing colours of the interiors work within the same colour scheme and, in combination with durable furniture, they form a cohesive design that provides great flexibility.
