School with associated multi-purpose hall.
The municipality of Fredrikstad has begun to develop the areas on the east side of Glomma, creating a future growth area for the town. This school, with its associated multi-purpose hall, is part of the plan. The school site is characterised by the fact that clay extraction took place in the area and is formed by excavators. We have further developed the concept of linear structures in the area when positioning the future school building. The roofs of the two main buildings and the sports hall will be parallel in the formations and may symbolise the earth moon or shale successions that are lifted up from the ground.
Sagabakken school was nominated for Arnstein Arneberg Award.
